Harvest

Egyptian farmers are still using the sickles and scythe in reaping their crops ( wheat, barley, and paddy rice), but few farmers use reaping machines especially in large fields. Stems of maize, millet, and beans are cut manually using axes or strokes. Maize cobs are collected by hand in the fields or in front of the farmers house after cutting and transporting the crop.
