The international Workshop on "Implementation of and further research on biological control of the Larger Grain Borer" was held in Lomé on the 56 November 1990 with the help and support of SPV. Financial backing was given by FAO and GTZ and logistical arrangements were principally due to the efforts of Dr. Fischer (GTZ-Togo).
Participants were drawn from a large number of countries and organizations comprising FAO, GTZ, IIBC, IITA, KARI, NRI, OAU and SPV.
